Welcome home! When you open your front door and step inside, you should ideally feel at home. And what does that mean exactly? It means feeling safe and embraced. Your entrance should ideally assist with that, even though it's often a small space, it's a very important one. It's the first impression. Here, is where you - and your guests - first feel the entire atmosphere of the home. Here, you set the tone and begin the stylistic tour through your home. So it's about creating visual coherence between the entrance and the other rooms, and you can do that with lighting and lamp choices that are consistent throughout the home.
Atollo, designed by Vico Magistretti in 1977, has become an iconic table lamp for years. It can be placed anywhere in the home, as it creates an impressive expression in e.g. hallways, where it elegantly illuminates the surroundings.
DROP is an elegant ceiling pendant ideal for high ceilings or stairwells. Place the lights in clusters to create a unique look where the lights form a beautiful chandelier and add a breathtaking wow factor when your guests arrive at your home.

To achieve a well-designed, functional, and cozy entrance, there are certainly some general guidelines and advice. But it's also important that you put your own stamp on the space and decorate it in a way that feels personal. Some people prefer the minimalist, somewhat neutral entrance in light, subdued colors, while others prefer an entrance with more colors and personality. Whether you lean towards a very Scandinavian style or have a more international flair, LIGHT-POINT has the lamps that match your needs. Both the streamlined, stringent, and sleek ones and the more distinctive lamps.
We balance between the classic, the timeless, and the ultra-modern and innovative. Always high quality, elegant design, and with a strong focus on functionality. By choosing from our many exclusive finishes and colors, you can add your own unique touch to your hallway. If you need inspiration and guidance, our lighting experts are always ready to assist you.

ZERO is an elegant, minimalist wall light with a stylish aluminum design. The light from ZERO casts both upwards and downwards, making it ideal as an indoor hallway wall light that beautifully illuminates the wall with its light.
COMPACT is an elegantly designed LED wall light made from luxurious aluminum. The lamp works as an up/down lamp, so the light radiates both upwards and downwards, creating a slightly diffused and decorative light fall on the wall.
As mentioned, an entrance is not just a space you pass through. It's not just about tossing your bag and keys, hanging up your coat, putting on your shoes, checking yourself in the mirror, and then moving on. The entrance is the very reception, and light is crucial, especially if you have a small, enclosed, and dark room. The small entrance requires plenty of lighting, so you should always remember to add light, either in the form of lamps, natural light from open doors and windows, or by decorating with bright interiors. Remember that white or light colors reflect light whereas dark colors absorb it.
As in all rooms, lamps should be considered as part of the décor, and ideally integrated already in the building or renovation phase, if you are in that situation.
When finding the right lamp for your entrance, it's important to weigh the pros and cons of the many different lamp categories.
The right type of lamp and the number of lamps depend on the size of the entrance. If the entrance is narrow, ceiling lamps or spotlights are the best solution, while wall lamps are good in a wide hallway. A ceiling lamp or spotlight provides good general lighting, allowing you to find your way and locate your things in the dark.
Generally, you get both good and atmospheric lighting by placing lamps at different heights, creating movement in the light. If you have a chest of drawers or a console, it's also a good idea to have a table lamp, and you can illuminate art or pictures with spotlights or downlights.
You can also use mirrors to reflect light. Mirrors always create an illusion of more square meters and make the entrance appear more spacious. So if you want to make your entrance seem larger, we recommend combining creative lighting solutions and decorative mirrors.
The GHOST collection merges light with the round and rectangular shapes of the design. Based on the "less is more" philosophy, it is the perfect recessed light for creating optimal lighting in hallways.
Serious is a versatile wall light that fits in many spaces and looks particularly elegant in hallways and stairways. Thanks to the round lines of the design, the light can be directed upwards or downwards depending on the desired effect.
INLAY C DISC is a ceiling light that emits a soft and diffused light. With its thin and discreet profile, the lamp almost blends in with its surroundings while adding an architectural touch to any room, including hallways.
For many of us, the entrance is a challenging space. For most, it's primarily a practical and busy area – often one that's cluttered. We might mostly think about how to optimize storage space, how to get the family to hang up their jackets and put their shoes away, and how to make the entrance look inviting and stylish. Few of us consider the significant role that light plays in the feeling of coming home or in our guests' experience when they're invited inside. That's why you should pay extra attention to finding just the right lighting for the entrance.
When choosing the right lamps and optimal lighting setup for your entrance, it's – as always – about the size of the space and whether it's a bright or dark room. But of course, it also depends on lifestyle and living conditions. What do you do if you have a large family and only a small, narrow entrance, or if you step directly into a long, dark, and dull hallway? Perhaps you live in a detached house with a square room without windows, in a new building with a large open entrance, or maybe in a Georgian villa with a gigantic hall? The conditions vary, but the needs are the same. Here, light serves the same purpose for all of us, unlike many of the other rooms in the home, where we may have more individual behaviour and thus divergent needs.
In the entrance, the light should be able to do the same for all of us, namely help us orient ourselves and provide enough light to see ourselves in the mirror and navigate through cabinets and drawers. But most importantly, it should create ambience. You can achieve this by combining ceiling lights, pendants, wall lamps, and table lamps.
You might consider using two lighting setups: one for everyday use, where you primarily need practical light, and one for evenings when you have guests and want a cozier atmosphere. LIGHT-POINT can help you find the right lamps for your entrance. Find inspiration in our wide range of both stylish and functional lighting. We have entrance lamps for ceilings, walls, and floors.
DELI is a recessed light designed by Ronni Gol. By placing several DELI lights along a staircase or hallway, you can create a cosy and comfortable atmosphere with ambient light that is integrated into the wall and shows the way.
SURFACE ceiling light combines aesthetic simplicity with energy-saving LED technology. With its ultra-thin design, the uniform, milky white light surface appears almost painted on the ceiling, creating minimalist lighting in a hallway area.
SHADOW can illuminate any room and add a unique aesthetic to any decor. It can be used as both a ceiling and wall light and creates a beautiful effect on the wall or ceiling, making it perfect for creating a cozy atmosphere in the hallway.
Some are fortunate enough to have a larger entrance or even a hall. A large hall can look really impressive and exclusive, but it can also be a bit challenging to furnish – in fact, so challenging that many end up giving up. In a hall, there are high ceilings and often a staircase. In other words, plenty of cubic meters to furnish and illuminate. And that can be a challenge. But help is available! At LIGHT-POINT, we have several beautiful, functional lamps with a wow factor for your hall. A large space can easily handle an expressive and somewhat opulent pendant in size XL or clusters of the same lamps at different heights. Here, DROP and ZERO are good choices. They become a work of art in themselves.
In most cases, a hall is an impressive room, and that should be allowed to shine through. If you choose a voluminous or sculptural lighting, it's best to keep the decor simple and not overcrowded, so the lighting will stand out. With SOHO, you can freely create your luminous artwork.
You should settle for, for example, hooks, a small storage furniture piece, a mirror, and something to sit on, possibly a small elegant bench. Again, it's about letting the room shine and tying the decor together aesthetically.
The best thing you can do in a large hall or entrance with high ceilings is to ensure natural light. One option is large window sections that go all the way up to the ceiling. Another idea is skylights. By letting natural light into a large hall with high ceilings, the room will appear larger and more open. However, not everyone has the opportunity to get good natural light, and we don't have daylight all the time, so it's important to have good lighting. There shouldn't be dark corners in a large hall.
